Description
Schock Santana 23D....... Our lovely fast wonderful Santana 23D Hull #97 needs to find a new home........ She comes complete with trailer, many sails, a Nissan 3.5 hp motor and lots of extras. Located in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia..... The perfect light wind sailer for a family and a competitive racer for the enthusiast. Great for the light wind conditions...... Also great for cruising with a retractable centre board....... You can just sail her up to the beach for the night or a stop, perfect for casual cruising on lakes and other waterways. This includes many sails and several spinnakers, a 3.5hp motor, lines, everything for racing or cruising. She is such a good sailer that she moves in almost no breeze, great for family sailing as she sleeps 4. It works as a camper as well if you want to sail on other lakes and areas. The interior layout is the traditional Santana 23D with lovely striped Sunbrella cushion covers. There were less than 150 of this model built. At 2600 lbs, it's light for its size, but still has 1000 lbs of ballast. Its shallow draft & will float in 8 inches of water with the daggerboard up & 5ft 3 in of daggerboard extends for sailing. The rudder is also retractable. Launching & trailering is much easier than a full keel sailboat like a J24. The PHRF at 171 is a few seconds a mile faster than a J24. It does not have standing headroom except at the companionway but it's spacious compared to the J24....... Sigh...... Message me for more pics and details.
