Beginner question. Bought a new sailboat- when you buy new jib sheets, do I have to do the end wrapping or is this something that can be done at a commercial store like West Marine?
I wouldn’t mind learning how to “wrap” lines as I’ve seen, but not a lot of issues on new boat, but one that needs attention is the jib sheets. Long story…..

Hey brock, maybe I can help, "whipping" lines is super easy, there's tons of videos of different techniques. You can also tape the end cut, pull a little bit of the core out, and then melt the ends together with a flame and squish with fingers:)

Thanks. Used to do the melting w 550 cord and other rope. Thought that was frowned on.

Tape, burn, then whip over the tape when you have time.
